What an eventful day....
Got back from a weekend trip to Surabaya for a friend's wedding. Was a good get away trip with lot's of eating, drinking and laughing. Didn't spend as much as planned as we were treated to some meals courtesy of the friendly hosts. Spend the nights at friend's relative place and that's the biggest house I have ever stayed so far. Even the backyard is bigger than my living room.
Was an eye opener for an Indonesian wedding. Not as traditional as I would have expected it but it sure was different. Even the 'traditional yum seng' was missing from this wedding. It was exciting meeting so many diving friends in one night and get a taste of their 'lethal' drinking habits, of course this comes with a price. A few got pissed drunk and we had a really good laugh looking at the stupid things that they did after that. I got pretty high on alcohol too but lucky thing was that I exercise self control ;)
Was back to work today thinking it should be a peaceful day since I am at a 'good' client site. Boss treat me to lunch and passed me the bonus letter and it the most handsomely rewarded bonus I have got so far. Everything was going fine until the 'bad' site caught 'fire' and I was asked to head down for some fire fighting. :( Good thing was that by the time I got there, the fire was being put out already. My poor reporting officer got most of the shit already. I am so glad that I have a good reporting officer this time round. Not only she helps me to cover shit, she also gave me a good rating for the appraisal resulting in my good bonus.

Day ended without much other events. Left the site early at around 7pm and was glad I did that because when I was half way home on the express way, a project manager called to ask whether if I can stay behind to do some testing. As I was gone, she end up looking for other people to do it. Sometimes, its good to leave work early ;) not only you get to enjoy dinner with your family, you escape extra work.
Time for a break
I should be doing my java assignment till such late hours but instead I am chatting and crapping away in cyberspace. I should be shot!
Tomorrow am taking leave and flying off to Indonesia to attend a friend's wedding. Not a close friend but I like to experience how wedding a Indonesian wedding is like in Indonesia. It's also an excuse to get away from work. I needed a break. This month supposed to be my month break when I go for my reservist of 3 weeks. Due to some changes to the training plans of my camp, my 'holiday' weeks were cancelled. :(
I don't know what to pack also. It's just a weekend trip so don't need to bring too many clothes but I need a formal shirt and pants for the wedding. Now is the problem with the shoe. Should I bring one formal shoes or wear one with jean when I taking flight tomorrow :
This weekend suppose to work but I bo chap! hehehe... Just want to take a break.
By the way, I managed to get rid of the stupid irritation that's in my right eye. YEAH!
Something in my eye
There seems to be something in my right eye but I can't find it, thus not able to get it out!! aaarrrggghhhh!! It has been days!
Last night went Diver's Night at Hard Rock Cafe with a few friends. Lot's of the regulars who used to go for Diver's Night wasn't there. Maybe I was too late when I got there. Reason for being late; went over to Queenstown pool to take a look at the Underwater Hockey friendly match against the Philippines Underwater Hockey team. Tomorrow I will get into action with them ;p
Since today is a rainy and cooling day, I think I should get my act together and start on my Java TMA. I am going to miss the maths study group today as I feel that I am not contributing to the group ;p
I quit my job!
I wish it's real but I need the dough to pay my bills.
Sometimes I really wonders why do we have to work? We work so that we can have enjoy our lives? But if we spent so much time and effort, physically and mentally drain ourselves in order to make enough money to really enjoy, what's left in us to really and truly enjoy?
When my colleagues who works through lunch I will sure to question them this "
做工为了吃饭，不吃饭，不如不做工" If someone were to work late I would ask "Hey, IF you finished ALL your work today, what's left for you to work on? Won't you be
OUT OF JOB?" Yes, it may sound stupid but then isn't it true?
Had a really tough day at work today. Was literally 'killed' by the users due to system slowness, something I can't really do much. I don't know when will the 'experts' fixed this problem and make my life easier out there in the battle field.
I really feel like quitting.
A tiring week gone by
It was a tiring week at work. Having to be at work by 8am (Monday, I started at 7.30am!) and only ends around 8pm for almost the entire week.
Yesterday managed to take a nap from 4pm but the nap was cut short by phone calls :-( Can't remember when was the last time I took nap in the afternoon. The little nap does help recharged me a bit.
Weather is so good.... It's time to swim!
