Lost company phone saga

The issue of me losing the company mobile phone has more or less comes to a conclusion.

initially, company administration office is imposing a minimum of $100 penalty on me for losing the phone. However, the phone was actually purchased under the current project cost, therefore there is an option of charging it back to the project.

Anyway to cut the story short. My boss called me and said he will settle it. I believe he is charging it to the project. I told him since I lost it, I don't mind paying for it because the chances of him paying for me is as high as **** (some will know who) liking me. Have been in the project for more than 2 years liao and I have never get a treat from this boss so no way he's going to pay for me.

I don't know if that my recent frustrated attitude shown causes my boss to charge to the project instead of asking me to pay, fearing that I might resign due to this. Sorry boss, pay or don't pay, I am just waiting for my interview and slap you with my resignation letter once I secure a new job.

Lost yet another thing

Why do I keep losing things in the year of the dog? A dog shit year for me man!

Today I dropped the company mobile in a cab SHA4550C, I took a look at the seats before I close the door when I alighted the cab but I did not see the phone. When I realized, I called the phone and a Malay auntie who does not know English answered. I asked her to pass the phone to the driver and she said "ok.. ok.." then I also made a call to the lost and found department of Comfort. They told me they are not able to contact the driver at the moment and will call me back once they contacted the driver.

The lost and found department calls back and said that the driver reported that no one passed him the any mobile phone. I don't believe his crap man. If the Malay auntie wants to keep the phone, she won't even answer. When I call back the phone, it was off. Strange isn't it.

Let's hope the year of the Pig with be better for me since it's first day coincides with my birthday :)

Eventful 2006

I am glad 2006 is over. It's not a particular good 2006 for me. Close friend of my family was lost to breast cancer. A very strong woman, doctor said won't make it to Chinese New Year but she pull through and lasted beyond the entire 15 days of Chinese New Year. My mobile phone, digital camera were lost in 2006 too. Even Pluto lost its status as a planet in August 2006 and Steve Irwin lost his life in a freak accident.

Though not a particular smooth year for me but it sure was an eventful one. Attended events I have not done so.

I attended my very first WOMAD in August. Was an okay event, just that we are not well prepared for it I guess. We also managed to have supper with a Thai band at Newton Circles after the event. Interesting har.... ;)

Watched my first musical "Forbidden City", at the 600 million 'Durian' - Esplande, in September. Not only Kit Chan was good, most of the actors and actresses were excellent too.

Finally my first ZOUKOUT in December. Don't really fancy such events in the past, because I know for sure getting there and getting home can be a nightmare. Surprisingly it's pretty well organized, not perfect but good enough. Didn't know my aging bones can still last dancing for such long hours without complaining :)

For diving, went to Bali for the first time during Chinese New Year, though I did not get to check out popular dive sites like Manta Point, Crystal Bay due to bad weather, it was still a nice trip in general. Went to Layang Layang only to be diving at a few dive site repetitively due to bad weather again and of course losing my digital camera in the process. However, there was one trip to 7 Skies which I would considered one of the best trips of my diving history so far. Got an excellent company on a relatively new dive boat, tailored made for divers. I saw my very first whale shark not once but twice on this trip. Sleeping under the starts, with someone I fancy beside me, only to be woken up by the morning drizzle. Excellent trip that will be remembered for life.

I also logged my 100th dive in Tioman in June. Quite a good year for diving I must say except for the bad weather part.

Family car was also changed in 2006. From a Nissan Sunny to a less 'family looking' Mitsubishi Lancer but within the first couple of months, the rear bumper was knocked but some useless driver who doesn't know how to handle his or her car and banged into my car's rear bumper in a multi-storey car park in Ang Mo Kio where my car was parked. The driver don't deserve his/her license because he/she can't even avoid a stationary car and runaway after banging my then brand new car. What an idiot!

I also got to know that my previous reporting office put up a promotion recommendation for me before she left for another project. I thank her for that but a pity her effort was gone to waste. No promotion for me.

Towards the end of 2006, my once calm as mirror emotional pool has a little ripple which gave me a bit of confusion and disturbance but I am glad that there were friends around to help me find my bearings and calm it down once again. I am back to my cool. ;) Thanks sayang.

At the end of 2006, I further bad luck follows for I failed my semester exam for the very first time in my pursue of my degree. It sure don't feel good but what done cannot be undone. Some said I party too much that was why I failed. I did go out during my exam period but that does not mean that I party and never put in effort to study. I did pass my other paper though. Just too bad that things don't go my way. Anyway, that's the past.

Finally 2006 is over and I hope 2007 can be a much better year for me in terms of health, wealth, work and studies. Romance? fuck it! As for new year resolutions? I am kind of done and over with this shit. None of the resolutions made in 2005 has been archived yet. I do hope to archive something this year though. :)
