Disappearing Act

I'm not a very orderly person but usually I kept my stuffs at home properly, knowing where to get them when I need them with the exception of occasional relapses of goldfish memory but in the end I still be able obtain the items I need around the house. However two of my items vapourised into thin air recently.

First my letter opener. I usually don't rip open my letters, don't ask me why but I just don't like the idea of ripping open letters, even more so for cards. Though at times I wish I can ripped those printed with "payment due date". As such I had this letter opener which sits quietly in the pen holder next to the telephone, waiting for me to call upon to perform its duty of allowing me access to the contents of my letters. It has gone missing since Chinese New Year without a trace. Search all possible 'hiding' places to no avail.

Next is the sling for my blades. I remember using it recently when I went blading along the park connector near my place, remember carrying my blades back with the sling which means the sling got back home. The blades and sling are kept in the store room together. However, last week I can only find the blades and not the sling. Combed the entered store room this morning, falling short of bring everything out from it. Nothing found, I double checked, triple checked still no sling found

Things disappearing from right under my nose just irks me. If I want to see some disappearing act, I rather watch David Copperfield doing it. Looks like I have to find replacement of these two items.
