Mum can cook.. so can I... at least I think so
Mum's away and I made an attempt to blew up the kitchen for I decided to cook Hokkine Mee. This is my first attempt so I am not surprised that my brother complain its not tasty enough, too dry and no sambal chilly.
Went to market to get some stuffs needed. Can't find sotong (squid) so decided to replace it with fishcake instead. Fatty pork just don't look good enough and I don't know how to prepare it so I had roasted pork instead.
It look like this in the beginning:
- Noodles
- Eggs
- Garlic
- Onion
- Spring onion
- Prawns
- Roast pork
- Fishcake
- Chicken broth
- Soya sauce
- Pepper
Then after a few minutes it become like this:
Personally, I think there is still a lot to improve on but it's a good attempt I must say.
Magnet to service centers
I went to yet another service center today. This time round is my Lumix digital camera. The lens got extended even in view mode (meaning you are viewing your pictures)
I sent my last digital camera (Fuji FinePix) to its service center as well. That time I paid $200+ to fix it. Hope I no need to for my Lumix.
Besides cameras, I sent my mobile phoneS to service centers too. It's phoneS and not phone because I sent both my Dopod which is still in the service center as I type and my O2 to service.
I don't know why I am such a jinx to electronic goods. Perhaps I should use film camera and pager in future. However, service centers for those products are harder to find. HAHAHA....
That's it!! She's off my list

She did the ultimate stunt which extends beyond my limits. I know I am not her type, I know I don't smitten her like any other guys on the street, I know she rather kiss anyone anytime rather than me. However willing to be laid by some obvious playboy just shows how 'lonely' she can be. Perhaps because she's someone I fancy thus, I feel more upset about it. If she's just another female friend I might just take it as that's her character of being really open with the guys she chooses.
Story time:
Went celebrate my dive buddy's birthday and my buddy has a visiting guy (B) from from the States. She joined us later and was introduced to B. The night went on pretty normally till people starts to get a bit tipsy. She wasn't drinking as she drove there.
B was having a 'buffet' dancing closely to any gal that comes his way. Soon we saw my dive buddy snogging one of B's friends, and B's brother is happily dancing with B's female friend.
To cut the story short, we saw B kissing and all over my other female friend A. Before this I saw B asking her to go get drinks and I can see how passionately she holds his hand. (with both her hands on his) After which B's brother left with B's female friend, A, B, my dive buddy, B's friend and her went for supper while me and 2 other gals left for home. I don't know why but somehow I just don't feel like staying behind cause something tells me that something happened (my 6th sense never fails me)
The following day, my dive buddy told me that she saw her snogging B on the dance floor and she even go tell my dive buddy how smitten she was by B, added him on her facebook, added B's favourite music video (she initially don't listen to that particular type of music). My dive buddy went on to tell her that B has a girlfriend back home and B was in my dive buddy's bed till Saturday morning. B has been sleeping with my dive buddy for a couple of years. My dive buddy also highlighted that B was snogging A the whole night after snogging her.
Her reply was really disappointing. Despite all this she still so smitten by him. Saying it as A who came between her and B. She was disappointed that B was not daring enough to take her (she's there for his taking).
She got smitten, legs went weak there and then I can understand but still so smitten by B even after knowing his character just shows something about her own character too. Her university buddy was telling me that perhaps she's lonely, perhaps she's looking for a shag and why I don't get upset about my dive buddy for sleeping with B. Yes, I agree I over reacted a little but I think I am more upset with myself than being upset with her. I must always remember, she is SINGLE and I did not tell her in her face that I like her, therefore she has all the rights to shag anyone.
After this incident, I think I truly have seen enough. This wasn't the first time she snog a guy she fancy after just a couple of hours of meeting him. Perhaps she just like bad boys or she just like to used by playboys. I wish her good luck with her choice then.
I won't be initiating outing with her from now on. However, she has penetrated my circles of friends and I know no matter how I want to avoid, I will still see her but for sure I am no longer her 'dead duck' in the pot.
Realising 2007
Another year gone, another wrinkle formed, another white hair sprouting amidst my thick black hair. Nothing special or major happened in 2007. Made some new friends and found a few old secondary classmate through Facebook. Besides continuing my academic pursue of my bachelor degree, I learn or realise somethings other things in life throughout the year. Below are some of the things I got realised and learn.
- My retina's have holes in them and I need to see a doctor immediately if I start seeing flashing lights, black spots etc.
- My irregular heart palpitation wasn't due to cholesterol (I have excellent cholesterol according to the doctor)
- Despite great effort in keeping them clean, wisdom tooth still have to go.
You don't shock a heart if it's flat-line through EFR course. - I do like working early in the morning. Watch the sky gets brighter as I heads towards the office.
- There are chalets and lots of entertaining facilities on Pulau Bukom (SHELL refinery island)
- Thai Disco is patronized by locals instead of Thais.
- Its a complete different experience watching a play in the open at Fort Canning Park as compared to watching them in theatres.
- Mola Mola's made you forget that you are in 19 degrees water.
- All you need is a good cook on-board and you can have a 8 course lunch including chill crab done using a kitchen with nothing more than just a gas stove.
- Star Virgo is still the same after 7 years. Thank you baby.
- Someone can be chatting with you on MSN one moment and lying in ICU fighting for his/her life the next. Do treasure those around you NOW.
- The saying "Girls don't meant what they say" to be very true.
- People can just changed (esp gals) with a flick of a switch and I certainly don't mean changing of clothes.
- It's better to mind my own business at times as it really doesn't pay to be kind to some.
- I can get paid going for exercises in camp.
- School can just retired a core module without having a replacement module for it.
- I am still very much a movie freak with a total of 68 movies watched in 2007.
- People are more interested to see an actor's 'eggs' than an actress completely nude. Especially if the actor is Tony Leung (梁朝偉).
- Jay Chow (周杰轮) can sing, can direct a movie, can play piano with a single hand without looking but still can't act.
- Tanya Chua (蔡健雅）writes nicer songs as she matures and out of love.
- Liverpool will continue to loss to Man U through set pieces if Benitez refused to change his zone marking defence tactics.
2007 has been a pretty good year for me. Having someone special to share with me throughout.
Starts the new year with a $20 parking FINE. Looks like it's going to be a FINE 2008 for me. Don't ask me about New Year resolutions, I don't want to have any because I don't keep any. heehee..
