Holiday mood
As the year end approaches, everyone seems to be in the holiday mood. You can easily get more than 3 out of office reply when sending out emails.
December has been a month of food and more food with gatherings, Christmas parties, company lunches and wedding dinners. My 'pregnancy' is showing!! Got to get rid of the tummy! Plan of jogging never materialized due to rain and waking up late due to sleeping late the night before. Looks like New Year resolution will be simply "Get a 6 pack!" hahaha.... nah. "Get rid of tummy" I will be happy already.
Still wondering where to go for countdown. Colleagues are planning to go watch fireworks at Marina South. I rejected old friend's invitation to watch it at Esplanade so should I go watch fireworks?

Got my exams results yesterday and I passed!! Not a convincing pass scoring scores that just made it but nevertheless I passed!
Went for Asian Diver's surface interval last evening. Before I went in I was telling my friends "I never win at lucky draws, not even a toothpick" Guess what, my number was actually called during the lucky draw but I wasn't paying attention to it and when I realised, it was "going... Twice....." I ran up.. waving my hands in the air... few more people to pass through... "WAIT!!...".. "going...going... gone!" GONE. My prize gone! :( My own prophecies came true.
Hope I can really win something someday ;)
Double ouch!
For some weird reason my left eye lid got infected and grew a little bump that hurts like hell. NO! I did not get 'bak cham' 针眼 because 针眼 grew on the lid and not on the INSIDE of the lid. Hope it gets better tomorrow... ouch!
Today I went to collect my digital camera from fuji film service center and got $199.50 poorer *sob* sob* I don't know why these electronic goods usually 'ki siao' after the warranty period.
Service man: "It will cost you $199.50 to fix. You want to fix?"
Me: "What IF I don't want to fix?"
Service man: "We will return you the camera."
Me: "What can I do with the camera? paper weight?"
Service man: "....."
if I don't get it fixed I will end up with TWO paper weights. One the camera, the other it's marine housing.
Double ouch day. Ouch eye and Ouch wallet.
AWOL 是天意
I did the unthinkable, I failed to go for my in camp training! I supposed to go for an Aviation medicine course on the 1st and 2nd December but I totally forgot about it, only to realize it at 9pm last evening. I quickly call up my camp and for some weird reason the person on duty was the aircrew leader and thank god he did make a big fuss and said he will cancel this ICT for me.
I think I need a PDA or a PA to help me remember dates. I did mark it down on the calendar but the calendar is on my desk in office which I have not been at for the pass 2 weeks. Anyway, am glad that it's settled.
Went to Tiong Bahru plaza for lunch this afternoon suggested by a colleague who's meeting his wife and her colleagues there for lunch. Myself and a colleague tag along. While we were queuing outside the restaurant, a familiar face passes by and made my heart skip a beat. It's my secondary school crash.... No, not the one I met at KKH. This one is someone where almost everyone in school knows I have a crush on her. A more 'serious' one I guess :p
She didn't see me and I couldn't be sure if it was really her. She was having lunch in an other restaurant and I managed catch her attention. She came out and we chat for a while. I can feel that my face was warm and it must be blushing. DAMN! Still blushes after almost 14 years!! Well, we decided to catch up over tea some other times.
IF I were to go for my reservist I would not be at work and would not be going for lunch at Tiong Bahru, thus would not have met her after so many years..... 天意
